CHICAGO — Bears running back Matt Forte left Sunday’s game with nine minutes remaining in the third quarter with a right knee injury.

Forte was hit on the knee by Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith on a swing pass to the right from quarterback Jay Cutler.

When he got to his feet, Forte slowly walked to the bench and was able to continue walking to the locker room without help after a brief examination on the sideline.

Forte was replaced at running back by rookie Jeremy Langford.
