PITTSBURGH — Breakout running back Carlos Hyde walked to the locker room with a large contingent of San Franciso 49ers medical personnel to be evaluated for a head injury.

Hyde took a hard hit to his leg in the second quarter but remained in the game.

The 49ers are without backup Reggie Bush (calf).

Hyde has rushed for just 40 yards on 14 carries. He led all NFL rushers in Week 1 with 168 yards in a 20-3 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night.
